A charity morning tea is always a good excuse for baking and a great deal of fun. This week we were celebrating Movember to raise funds for men’s health. Movember aims to raise awareness about prostate cancer and depression. The money is donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and Beyondblue, the National Depression Initiative. Participating males start the month of Movember cleanshaven and grow a moustache over the course of the month.
To celebrate the achievement of our blokes and help them raise money for men’s health we had an array of sweet treats.
We had rumballs…
…and gingerbread men (who grew mos for the occasion).
Even the cupcakes had moustaches.
Not everything was mo themed…
…but it was delicious.
From yoghurt cheesecake…
…to chocolatey slices.
There was even nachos to give your sweet tooth a break.
Our organiser arranged everything from colour co-ordinated napkins to raffle prizes. Our army of cooks were fabulous, I’m sorry I can’t show a photo of every cake. In all it was a very successful event supporting an important men’s health initiative. I’m looking forward to next Movember.
